The sun was warm, the breeze pleasantly cool, refreshing. Lauren was adorned in lace, pearl anklets, and a steady heart that radiated readiness to marry her man.
Steady; it wasn't hard to notice the quiet, deep love that Lauren and Mike share. He would step close, she would grin. He would cry, she would kiss him sweetly. The day felt like a song written by José González (think "Walter Mitty" soundtrack). It was beautiful, restoring, and I can't say I've photographed another wedding that felt and ran so smooth as theirs. It was all just a testament to Lauren and Mike, their soulmate-kind-of-love. And it was perfect.

"My favorite moment from our wedding day was after the ceremony when everyone was at the cocktail hour. Mike and I got to be alone for a few moments before the reception began. We got to decompress a bit and privately celebrate what we had just done."

"My advice for couples getting married is that if you're going to devote all the time, energy, and money it takes to throw a wedding then make sure it's exactly what you want. Or if you don't want to do any of that, and would rather run off to Vegas or go to the courthouse- then do that! Whatever it is make sure it's all you."
