When I arrived to the first stop of this wedding day, where the ceremony would be held, my jaw fell open. I walked through the spring woods and found the sweetest, most gingerbread house-esque chapel that you only think about being real in storybooks. Madisson + Rob’s friends and family squeezed tightly into the ornate one room inside the chapel - lit only by a lamp and a flood light attached to one wall long after it was built - and they said “I do” in an intimate ceremony. After making their way back out front, they rang the church bell and enjoyed a champagne toast in the May afternoon air. Guests made their way to Barringers, a beautiful restaurant on the other side of the peninsula, and we joined after snapping a few images along Lake Michigan. It was the idyllic wedding - laid back, intimate, meaningful - one fit for a storybook with that sweet little chapel pictured right on the cover.
